"I have long waited patient in this void, my bones have kept my promises, call my name so that I may die again"
Whispers of Ketherok Wurmwurn, witnessed by the druidic priest, Sarceeth Morial
Recorded on the 32nd day of Harvest, 1348
Carved from the sternum of a captured Elder Fae - Ketherok would enact the blud rite to gain the favor of the Aethervoid when facing uncertainty; piercing his fingers on the bone shards on either side to provide his blood into the carvings of the bone artifact, damning himself and gaining favor at once, over and over again.
Given the Fae’s extreme aversion to iron, this perverse sacrament was torture for the Fae, even in death.

Entries from a recovered journal of an un-named Cleric recounts the troubling history of the spine:
"Found beneath an Elder Yew tree, known only to grow on burial grounds of Mort Wuud, a grave scavenger claimed to be beckoned to the site. The scavenger who discovered this artifact claims that the spine 'protruded from the ground as though it refused burial'. Upon examination, the spine feels 'warm to the touch as if it still knows breath'. However, this warmth does not come from a place of life or growth, rather death and decay. Dark mana, sourced from darker rituals in life, pulse from the spine like a necrotic radiation. Those who came before, attempting to weld the spine, seeking Ketherok's power have all added their bodies to the flesh tithe. It's as though the object in this reliquary are waiting for the necromancer to reclaim his fragmented corpse so that he may carry forth his work."
